The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) undertook a comprehensive examination of the infringement accusations leveled against AIX, ultimately determining that all assertions made by the rival, referred to here as “Global Gaming,” lacked substance.
Global Gaming had contended that AIX’s Foundation® casino administration platform encroached upon a minimum of four of its over 200 patents pertaining to digital gaming innovations. They pursued royalty payments from AIX, an action that had the potential to substantially escalate the expenses associated with the Foundation system for casinos.
Nevertheless, AIX furnished persuasive documentation of pre-existing technology, resulting in the successful nullification of all alleged claims.
This legal confrontation originated in 2021 when Global Gaming initially presented its patent claims, prompting AIX to request a USPTO assessment of the four patents under scrutiny.
