Century Entertainment International Holdings has postponed the launch of its mass-market gaming tables at its latest Cambodian casino in Dara Sakor because of the current COVID-19 surge in the nation.
The firm initially intended to move its gaming tables from Sihanoukville to the new casino in February. A spike in COVID-19 infections, however, caused the opening to be moved to March. The corporation has now verified that the reopening has been postponed until April. This is due to the property owner’s notification that Cambodian lockdown measures have hampered reopening efforts.
Century Entertainment stated that mass-market activities at the new casino were scheduled to resume in March 2021. The community transmission of COVID-19 in Cambodia since February 20, 2021, has, however, resulted in additional economic disruptions.
The assignor notified the company that the decision to postpone reopening preparations for the new casino had been made. While the installation of decorations and equipment for the new gaming tables is finished, system testing and personnel training have yet to begin. Century Entertainment is still upbeat and hopes to open the new casino by April 2021.
